The JV football team reflects on their season and how they can move forward next year

The JV football team was lucky enough to get a full season and was able to do well. They’re moving forward as a unit and have good thoughts moving forward.

Q:

  • How did your season go overall?

A:

  • “My season went very well and helped me gain more knowledge about the game,” Stasiak said.
  • “It was good overall because I got to build friendships and had a good time with everyone,” Wiebelhaus said.

Q:

  • What are you looking forward to next season?

A:

  • “I’m looking forward to playing at a higher level and getting stronger and faster for next season so I have a shot at varsity,” Stasiak said.
  • “I’m looking forward to possibly playing varsity and playing with the same group of guys that I did this year,” Wiebelhaus said.

Q:

  • How did you grow as a football player this season?

A:

  • “I grew up as a football player by getting to know the sport really well and playing tough games which made me learn more,” Stasiak said.
  • “I grew as a football player by becoming more physical and aggressive because it was only my second season playing,” Wiebelhaus said.

Q:

  • What would you change about this season?

A:

  • “I would try and take more time playing safety as well as wide receiver and not just offense,” Stasiak said.
  • “I would just change how the last few games turned out,” Wiebelhaus said.

Q: 

  • How did the team grow?

A:

  • “Our team grew just by all bonding together and learning how to play as one and not playing by ourselves,” Stasiak said.
  • “The team grew in a huge way because we spent the whole summer and first term together every day and we all became a lot closer,” Wiebelhaus said.
