Fall break is supposed to give students a break from their hectic lives. However, after interviewing many students of Castle View, it was discovered that over all, fall break consists of more work than play.
Erin Kraus ‘18, “I ran in two cross country meets, went mountain biking and hung out with my family.”
Morgan Orand ‘17, “I laid in my bed the entire fall break because I was sick. I guess it was okay since I got to watch the Walking Dead all day everyday.”
Alyssa Bangart ‘17, “I went to Illinois to attend my grandma’s funeral and see my family. It was pretty depressing.”
Saer Amrhein ‘17, “I went to Maryland to visit my family. While I was there I went golfing once and watched a lot of football.”
Kaylynn Baird ‘17, “ I work at Fantastic Sams as a receptionist. I spent 20 hours working over fall break. In my free time I watched Netflix.”
Cassidy Arnold ‘17, “I had a lot of homework for AP World History and AP Psychology. When I had free time I watched Netflix.”
Mr. Ed Lee, “It was really boring. I bought a house so I had to repair some things around it.”
Dalton Beveridge ‘16, “I worked at Firehouse for 15 hours. I went golfing, and even went to the mountains.”
Zach Witonsky ‘16, “I worked at Kohl’s a lot. I worked 42 hours. I also played baseball, went to the haunted corn maze, and had some friends over.”
Callin Bailey ‘19, “Over break I went to Texas to visit my cousins, we had a lot of fun and just went to a bunch of random places.”
Fall break isn’t always an escape from the reality of work and school responsibilities, but for many, it’s a time to relax and regroup.
