Night swim is a horror movie released in theaters on February 5, 2024 made by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.
In the eyes of the general public this movie was pretty terrible and not very many people enjoyed watching it. The plot was generic and relied on cheap jump scares for almost every scene.
It has a 4.9/10 on IMDb, a 2.4/5 on google’s audience rating summary, and an overwhelming amount of one star reviews.
Typical online ratings on this movie include how it seems like the plot was written by ChatGPT and can’t even be considered so bad it’s funny.
After seeing all the negativity around this movie I decided to ask some students who watched it what they thought and The response I got from student Karter Lawson was “The story and everything was just bad and I didn’t like it,” Another response was from student Corbin Urich saying “It Didn’t make any sense to me.”
Although this movie was generally disliked by me and others, it’s a cheaply made pg-13 horror movie so there weren’t high expectations in the first place and it was probably worth watching. I give it around a 5/10.
