Class Information: Fitness Is Life

REGISTRATION 2024: Showcasing two of the many fitness classes we offer at CVHS and why these classes are important
Class Information: Fitness Is Life

One of the classes we offer here at Castle View High School is Strength and Conditioning. This class is taught by Mr. Wyss, it is very important tohim because he was a former athlete and the most influential people in his life growing up were coaches. He wants to be able to help students seethe importance of growing your body healthy and making yourself stronger because you will have to use it everyday.

Ellie Dunaway, a sophomore, took this class and said “ I liked this class because it helps you stay fit and active during school, and it’s a fun way to talk tofriends while doing so.”

Another class that we offer here at CVHS is Adventure Experience, which is taught by Mr. Morken.

In this class students learn to tie basic climbing knots. We rock climb almost every class. Morken chose to teach this class because he’s done fitness testing for almost 15 yrs and it was nice to finally take a break and do something more fun. I enjoy seeing how much my students grow and watching them test themselves while I walk alongside them.

Student Ashlynn Acree, a senior this year said “ This class is where you come to have fun and take a break from school. You can be yourself in here andbuild your strength.” Strength is a huge part of are stability in our lives and these two classes above are great options for incoming CVHS students!
