The start of the Student Advocates club

Looking at how students can get support

Starting a club can be very overwhelming and confusing, but sophomore Cj Brammer got it all figured out. Starting the Student Advocate club was a very important task for Brammer to accomplish. After dealing with issues and needing help involving school staff he knew students needed more support and a safe space.

Helping other students with things he has personally struggled with is something that is important to him. “This club is a fun safe environment where we try and help students around difficult situations,” Brammer said.

Many students around the school have dealt with staff issues and don’t always know how to deal with them, This club is an amazing resource for kids and can help in so many positive ways. Clubs are one of the more unknown but one of the most important extracurricular activities at Castle View, students can gain the help and support they need with a community that is going through similar struggles or situations.

“I think there’s been so many situations that have been blown out of proportion that a lot of people don’t think are that big, but in reality, they’ve caused a lot of mental health issues,” Brammer said, “… I think this club is a better way to deal with students and help them have a better time at school,”. Brammer is the president and founder of this club and believes that it is a great way to get involved.

Students can join clubs but finding out how and finding something you want to be involved in, is the hardest part.
