(Unpopular Opinion) Eggnog is good

Eggnog is often underestimated as a drink, but I find it to be delicious!

This time of year lots of people like to enjoy a festive glass of eggnog in front of a crackling fire. The traditional winter drink is commonly labeled as a bad tasting drink, when in fact, it’s actually pretty good.

Now usually, eggnog would consist of milk, cream, sugar, whipped egg whites, and egg yolks, hence why it’s called Eggnog. It can also be regularly flavored with molasses, nutmeg, or even dried pumpkin. But cinnamon is the most common choice.

You normally wouldn’t think of putting Eggnog and health benefits side by side, but if you really think about it, Eggnog does produce health benefits. But it is still a very sugary drink that should definitely not be consumed regularly, no matter how good it is. Eggnog provides a large dose of vitamins and minerals. It is estimated to provide about 400 milligrams of potassium, almost the same amount of a Banana, as well as Vitamins A, B2, AND B12.

Eggnog is usually shared in the United Kingdom, since it originated from the United Kingdom, and is common in Canada, and the United States. This frothy yet very creamy milk tastes like a cinnamon and candy-like milkshake. Throw in a couple of extra cinnamon sticks, and maybe some nutmeg if you’d like, and you have a wonderful holiday classic. So next time you’re at a Holiday party and spot a pitcher of Eggnog, maybe give it a shot!
