American car companies should not be overlooked when it comes to the Hypercar competition. SSC American has taken the European Car companies by storm and shown promise for more competition in the future.
Shelby built a car that won the fastest car record in 2007. With the SSC Ultimate Aero, it beat the Bugatti Veyron, which held the record for over three years. This should’ve put SSC into the race for the perfect Hypercar, but the European titleholders rushed to block them out, as Bugatti created the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Plus, with 16 cylinders, and an amazing 1001 hp, that stole the title back shortly after. SSC American was developing their new car, the Tuatara, when Bugatti once again broke the speed record, with an average top speed of 304.77 mph, and an astonishing 1500 hp with the Chiron.
“Nobody knew who we were, I decided that this top-speed record would be a good way to get mentioned in the same sentence with Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and Ferrari.” Carol Shelby said in an interview with Car Driver (Tuatara interview.). Clearly, this is a step in the right direction, being that they beat three different records on the same day.
Let me break down the specs.
The European hypercar leaders are Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, and Koenigsegg.
Lamborghini has the Aventador SVJ (Lamborghini), which has a top speed of 216 mph, and the Centurion (Lamborghini) with a top speed of 217 mph, which is nothing to scoff at.
Koenigsegg, with the Regera (Regera), which has an estimated top speed of 250 mph, the Agera RS (Agera RS), with a top speed of 278 mph, and last but not least the One:1 (One:1) with a top speed of 248 mph.
Ferrari has the Ferrari Enzo ZXX Evolution Edo Competition (Ferrari), with a top speed of 245 mph, the Ferrari FXX Evolution (Ferrari), with a top speed of 240 mph.
Porsche, with the noticeable Porsche 918 Spyder (Porsche 918), at 214 mph and the Porsche 911 T3 RS (Porsche 911 gt3 RS), with a top speed 201 mph.
And last but definitely not least, Bugatti. Bugatti has multiple notable cars, dating back to the 1990s. The first one is Eb110 which has a top speed of 216 mph (EB110), and was built in 1991, an astonishing feat of engineering. The Bugatti Veyron, and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (Bugatti Veyron), which had a top speed of 256 mph. And last but not least the Bugatti Chiron, which as we know had a top speed of 304 mph.
That being said, there is one American hypercar, and it demolishes all the European titleholders, The SSC Tuatara is the only American designed, built, and driven hypercar. And it beat the Chiron by 27 mph an hour, an astonishing feat.
So, should the European bullies be afraid of the emerging hypercar business in the United States? Yes, I think they should be.

Hello,
Me here for some writing tips. You mentioned you are a strong writer in your biography, no doubt about that. But, I do have some tips.
Try to break up your sentence structure and do some research about it. When used correctly, you can be more direct, clear, and concise when communicating with your reader. For example, I have noticed that throughout this post your most common sentence structure breaks up one sentence using multiple commas. You can use hyphens or colons to reflect a direct point, periods to get a main point across and expand on it in a next sentence, and commons to break up two points in a sentence.
Example of using hyphens to reflect a direct point:
– You state, “That being said, there is one American hypercar, and it demolishes all the European titleholders,” Instead you could say, “There is one American hypercar that demolishes all the European titleholders: The SSC Tuatara”. The more direct you are with your reader, the more confident you sound and the more likely they are to be convinced by your point. In addition, this sentence itself can serve as a thesis statement of this section. A thesis is an arguable claim – one that people may disagree with. Some may disagree that the SSC tuatara “demolishes all the European titleholders.” That being said, tell us a reason why the SSC Tuatara is *italics* superior *end italics* to any other European titleholders.
Also, a good writer acknowledges their bias. Are you simply looking into this vehicle because it is American and you identify with American nationalism? It would also be unique to consider the construction and technological advances that this “American” car has over any other “European titleholder.” Can you dig deeper into the construction and supply chain of this car to even make it feasible for international markets alike? Does it require conflict minerals from Africa and how does this extraction process impact the livelihoods of people working these minds?
These are just some points I might consider while reading your post. I encourage you to dig deeper in quality vs. quantity for your future writing endeavors. Overall, you have a good foundation and are an excellent writer in conveying attitude and analyzing the comparisons of a particular good. Good luck to you Lucas!
