From visiting family to baking to sledding, many CV students are heading into winter break with plans to relax and have some fun.
Sophomore Katie Cruz is traveling to Wyoming to visit extended family and sled with her cousins.
Julia Dickson, also a sophomore, will be doing a lot of baking for the holiday season. Then, she’s going to enjoy eating it with her close family.
Sophomore Chad Erick can’t wait to get away from school and just relax. He is ready to spend time with family.
“They’re fun to be around,” said Erick, “and we do a lot of interesting things together.”
Last year, an estimated 94.5 million Americans traveled 50 miles or more for the holidays, according to International Business Times. More people are expected to travel this year.
Jazmine Garcia, a junior, is one of those. She is going to Mexico for Christmas break to enjoy the warm weather. Although she won’t be following her regular Christmas traditions this year, she’s looking forward to a different type of holiday.
“I haven’t been there since I was nine so I’m excited for everything,” said Garcia.
