Every few years someone new is chosen to be the head of the library and this year Gretchen Stulock was selected to be the head for this year.
This year started stressful as she had to face the old and unorganized system that was in place before she even thought of being in charge of the library. This proved to be difficult to juggle along with all the other responsibilities of being in charge of such a complex system where she stated. “The beginning of the year was crazy” as librarian Gretchen Stulock had to reorganize and “barcode” the entire old and outdated system. This caused confusion with finding any of the basic classroom necessities such as tape and markers.
However, as the year continued, all of the little things got a little easier and more organized as after just a few months they were back to normal but with a more organized system. This does not mean that all problems were fixed as the printer(s) continues to drive anyone who uses it crazy and how the library’s layout is “not good” and “needs to be changed” as librarian Gretchen Stulock described it. This may show that there might be a change in the overall look and seating arrangement in the library to make it both look and work better.
