This movie is based on the story of Jann Mardenborough’s story after winning the GT academy in 2011. The academy started in 2008 and disbanded in 2016  

Gran Turismo was originally a game made by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the Playstation. This movie is a dramatized version of Jann Mardenborough’s story after winning the 2011 GT academy which put the game’s best players into real formula cars. In this movie, Jann drives a R35-generation Nissan GT-R race car. 

Okay now that I got all the backstory out of the way  on to the review. I honestly really enjoyed this movie. This movie is a very uplifting tale and I found myself actually having fun while watching this movie . It was very entertaining not just for the races but the plot and characters along with their interactions  . I was truly invested in the story and plot . I also enjoyed the romance on the side even if at points it felt a little bit rushed. The races in this movie were also very beautiful , because of the multiple angles used showing every small detail . The actors in this movie were great and the acting didn’t feel dry . My rating of this movie is a solid 9/10.
