This year Castle View Athletics hired a whole new coaching staff for the boys basketball program. The new basketball coach has gotten much attention since being hired, and has many varied opinions. Blake Graham is a three year varsity player and has seen the different coaching styles. “ I believe this coach is going to get us far and is the best one yet. Some people are too emotional to handle him and that’s why they have been cut.” 

Coach Chris Crosby played basketball professionally in college and has had his share of practice. Not everyone on the team shares Blake’s opinions though. CV Student media talked to a few players who aren’t as supportive of coach Crosby.  They wouldn’t go on the record, but said that he is too rude on the players and yells a lot more than needed. 

Although the basketball team knows the coach first hand there were some students who had opinions on him as well. Olivia Loveland said “ I like him as a person, I think he is a little biased because he will show up to all of my basketball games.  

Crosby and the cats have their crosstown rivalry game this friday and is the next test to see if the program is headed in the right direction.
