Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what you have, spend time with family, and most importantly eat a ton of food. Although it is technically Thanksgiving time, if you look around, Christmas decorations dominate houses, classrooms, and trees. So the question to ask is, does anyone even care about Thanksgiving anymore? “Thanksgiving sucks bruh.” Gus Walkenhorst said. “I honestly don’t care about Thanksgiving that much.” Kenna Degaldo said. It seems like Thanksgiving is not popular with Castle View students. Gus Walkenhorst adds, “Christmas is better not gonna lie.” Christmas seems to have taken Thanksgiving’s popularity. Christmas has more movies, celebrations, and decorations. “I just like the vibe of Christmas more.” Student Sydney Campbell said. So should we pack up our turkeys and hang our stockings after Halloween? Although Christmas might be more popular, Thanksgiving is a big staple in American traditions. So this year and years to come maybe cut Thanksgiving some slack, though Christmas might overshadow it.
