Homecoming Football Game –
There’s no other way to kick off the start of the school year than by showing school spirit throughout homecoming week, and then at the big event on Friday night; the Homecoming football game against Heritage.
The stands were filled with students from Castle View, dressed in black and cheering the team on. Even though the Sabercats had a tough 33-6 loss, the players started out strong and kept their enthusiasm throughout the whole game. At the beginning of the night, they scored a quick touchdown, one of their only highlights of the game. But as the game went on, they struggled to get the lead against Heritage.
Although there was some disappointment in the air, the players still saw improvement since their last home game. When asked how they’ve improved, quarterback Trenton Rohman ‘16 was optimistic.
“We now have more experience. We have a better handle of the offense and our defense is getting better than they already are,” said Rohman. “I, as a player, need to improve my overall play. As a team we need to play all four quarters.”
They’ll have to wait until their next home game on October 9 to see the improvement. But until then, Castle View will be working hard on and off the field to try and bring home a victory.
