Senior Assassin

A water gun fight across the seniors that could be worth up to 5,000 dollars

Senior Assassin is the one time you can break the rules and bring a fake weapon to school. When you are at the store or church, and you see high schoolers wearing goggles or carrying a water gun, surely you wonder what it’s for. So to sum it up, Senior Assassin is the ultimate water gun fight. It’s a game of planning, stocking, investigating, strategy, and alliances. You have to be careful–one slip-up and you’re out of the game. Senior Grace Coyne has been an assassin in the game “killing” 1 person so far.

Here’s how the game works: first you must pay a $20 fee to enter the game. Each student in the game teams up with another person who will be their partner for the rest of the game. Each week your partnership receives an assignment of a group that you are to eliminate by Sunday.

There are many rules to the game. You are safe if you are wearing goggles around your head or neck, meaning if you are “shot” while wearing goggles, it doesn’t count.

Wednesdays are the only days that your goggles don’t help you if you are a target. Wednesdays are called purge days, so it’s legal to shoot anyone on the bounty board. You get on the bounty bored if you don’t kill your assignments that week. The bounty board is posted on the Instagram account so other students know that they can get you out. You can, however, pay a fee to get off the bounty board.

That money goes to the pot, which the winners will receive at the end of the game. By the end of the game the pot averages around a few thousand dollars.

If both players in a team are “killed,” then they are out of the game for good, and can’t pay to get back in.

You’re not in danger all the time. There are times of the day you are safe. During the day school is a safe zone. Practice is also a safe zone but as soon as practice is over you are free game. This game usually lasts the whole second half of the year. It’s a really fun thing to be involved in and is definitely a recommendation for all seniors. “ Senior assassin is really fun because of the competition! I love being able to compete against classmates in a lighthearted event like this!” Said Coyne.
