On December 1st John Allen was getting ready to go to Lacrosse practice as he gathered practice equipment. That day Allen said “ I had a good practice, a bit challenging, but I was definitely worth going to on a cold day” said Allen.

Sophomore John Allen has been playing lacrosse for over a year. Allen first picked up a stick in September of last year and ended falling for the sport.

Hernandez: How long have you been playing lacrosse for?

 Allen:“ About 1 Year.”

Hernandez: How do you think lacrosse will be different this year due to COVID-19?

Allen:“Most of our season might end up being cancelled due to social distancing. And having less games and practices.”

Hernandez: What are you excited for this season?

Allen: “I am excited most for practices after school again and going to games. Most of our season last year got cancelled too so I don’t have much experience playing in games.”

Hernandez: How are you still keeping track of lacrosse and staying active?

Allen:“I try to practice shooting a bit in my free time with my friends who also play for CV.”

Hernandez: What do you like about lacrosse?

Allen:”I like the social aspect of it, and how everyone on the team is accepted no matter what skill level. I also like learning the sport because it is confusing at first but once you figure out how it works, it’s fun.”

Hernandez: When did you first start playing lacrosse?

Allen:” September of last year”.

John Allen up to this day still hasn’t given up and is still out there practicing and making sure he is in the right mindset getting ready for tryouts, until then Allen isn’t giving up not just yet.
