Kyleigh Peoples:

Q: What scholarships are you applying for? Explain what the scholarships are.

A: I’m applying for multiple leadership and community service scholarships, not quite sure which ones in particular though as I am still researching and filling out applications for them.

Q: What is the process of applying for scholarships?

A: The process is to fill out an application (if required) for each scholarship then make sure you submit the application by the deadline or sooner, then also attach if needed, an essay with the given prompt, transcript, and letter of recommendation.

Q: How important are scholarships to you?

Scholarships are very important to me since I will have to be taking out loans myself and paying back my school with my own money, so I would like to get as much money as possible to pay for my college that way I’m not in too great of debt.

Q: What is your major goal as far as scholarships go?

A: With my academic and athletic scholarships that I will get, ideally and in a perfect world, I need to get about another $5-6K in scholarships to be able to only have to pay for room and board for my college. So to get that amount would be my goal!

Q: How many scholarships did you apply for?

A: I haven’t applied for any scholarships yet, but I will probably apply for 4 or more scholarships that will hopefully help reach my goal.
