After coming off a first round playoff win against Rangeview, 65-38, the Sabercats Girls Basketball Varsity squad will take part in round two of the playoffs against Horizon High School in Thornton.
On Tuesday, Junior Jessie Brown and the Sabercats took down the Rangeview Raiders in a first round matchup. Brown lead the Sabercats with 10 points, none from the free throw line. Seniors Jordan Wyatt and Michaela were perfect from the stripe hitting 3 of 3 attempts. Castle View outscored the Raiders in all four quarters to win the game and advance to the next round of the 5A playoffs.
The Horizon Hawks await the Sabercats on Friday night. They went 18-5 overall throughout the regular season and 12-1 in league play. Junior Kylie Jimenez leads Horizon in points per game with 18.2. The Hawks had a first round bye week so this match-up with CV will be the first playoff game of their season.
The winner of this game will go onto play either Pine Creek HS or Cherokee Trail HS in the third round.
